Eeek! PBS Showed a Skeptic

Apparently PBS planned to air a few minutes with climate skeptic Anthony Watts, which they previewed in a blog post.  This caused a major freak out among its viewers, who are not used to being confronted with views that don't comfortably align with those of their peer group.  Apparently PBS viewers distrust their own judgement so much that they can't let themselves even view skeptical material, I suppose because it is like that alien on Star Trek that drove anyone who looked at it insane.

PBS is apologizing like crazy, and felt the need to link nine past shows and articles where it has totally conformed to the climate gospel, so there is absolutely no cause to question their ideological purity.

No difference between PBS's liberal viewers and Baptists who are sure their kids will lose God if they're allowed to attend a dance at the local school of a Friday night.

Yes there is, Craig. For the most part, outside of their religious views, the Baptists might show some common sense.

This is not something to EVER expect from liberals, as a total lack of "wisdom" or "common sense" is the DEFINING QUALITY of what makes anyone a liberal.

There's a reason they cannot give up on any idea no matter how many times it fails (cf. "Marxism"). Learning from experience (i.e., wisdom, common sense) is, for liberals, a non-existent idea.

Reading much of the commentary there, hat's another quality unique to liberals:

"You disagree with me? SHUT UP!!! HOW DARE YOU!! RACIST! SEXIST! STFU!!! STFU !!! NO, NOW!!! STFU!!! I'm not HEARING!!! STFU!!! EPH YOU!!! HOW DARE YOU!!! RACIST MALE CHAUVINIST PIG HOMOPHOBE!! SHUT UP!!! STFU!!.... STFU!! STFU!!!"

Granted, that's hyperbole for effect in this case, but it's at the heart of their response, and, if not surrendered to, that's what it will end up equating to effectively , if not literally.

Ah, yes the wonderful open minded liberals who want to let everyone have their say . . .

    Ahhh not so much
