Apparently Democrats Applied Blue-State Model To Their Own Finances
I really thought this article (editorial? letter?) by Donna Brazille in Politico was fascinating. First, it is not that often that partisans of either flavor air their internal dirty laundry in public. And second, it is a pretty interesting story. Apparently Obama left the party deeply in debt (that is probably not unusual after a campaign, since politicians do the same thing with public budgets when they actually hold office). Debbie Wasserman-Schultz "had outsourced a lot of the management of the party and had not been the greatest at fundraising" and thus was doing little to pay down the debt. Eventually, Wasserman-Schultz and a few other party leaders turned to the Clinton campaign to bail them out, which they did -- over a year before the convention when Clinton became the actual Democratic nominee -- in exchange for an agreement that:
Hillary would control the party’s finances, strategy, and all the money raised. Her campaign had the right of refusal of who would be the party communications director, and it would make final decisions on all the other staff. The DNC also was required to consult with the campaign about all other staffing, budgeting, data, analytics, and mailings.
Apparently Wasserman-Schulz could not be reached for comment in her current location under the bus.

And for people who want a Democrat in, ponder this. Did Obama not support Biden because Hillary committed to paying his 16 million DNC debt?

It’s worse than Brazile’s characterization.
There appears to be money laundering and other offenses in the Clinton/DNC “mishap”

And it’s looking increasingly likely that James Comey, ex-FBI Choirboy, used the unverified Steele dossier as basis for a FISA court filing.
As the lawyers say, that’s a no-no.

Debbie Sgt. Schultz is actually hiding in her bunker somewhere…

Are they airing out their "Dirty Laundry" for the Next Election maybe? Throw Hillary under the Bus, Get a Fresh Face out there for the next Presidential Election?

nah, they'll say "we came clean about our finances, the GoP didn't, vote Hillary!"

If I recall from the 2016 election, the Democrats spent something North of $1.2 billion on the Hillary campaign, beating Obama's merely $1 billion in 2012. Nationwide, I've seen reported figures of something like $2.5 billion for all Democratic candidates, and the real number is probably higher. So a $16 million debt in the national office sounds more like a rounding error.
November 3, 2017, 6:36 amThe Democrats spent $9 million alone on just one lawyer's office to fund the Trump/Russian dossier; and that is just the amount made public, the real number is probably higher. No one will own up to whoever signed a $9 million check issued from the DNC headquarters.
Brazille wants everyone to believe that they had to give complete control to the Hillary campaign just to get access to a lousy $16 million? Sorry, Donna, your story just doesn't wash.

This is the sort of thing that has the potential to truly effect change. Trump can't get the F.B.I. moving on investigating the swamp, though the left may have inadvertently shot themselves in the foot with the Russia stuff- much more questionable stuff going on between the swamp proper and Russia rather than the Trump campaign. But it's slow going, and no matter how good or bad Trump is, one thing that is obvious is that he is not yet fully in charge.
But Debbie probably knows a thing or two, and Princess Hilary is not going to take kindly to these ungrateful party hacks. I suspect the Weinstein stuff is part of this, since A: people did know about him, and B: he was a major backer of the Clintons. So suddenly the press actually reports on the guy after all these years? They want to shutdown Hilary.
The infighting helps us.

No. I have been convinced for years, like back to 2009 that sometime between June and September 2008 a Grand Bargain was struck between Team Obama and Team Clinton. Both Clintons would campaign for Obama in 2008, and Hillary would not launch a primary challenge in 1012. IN exchange, Hillary got her choice of cabinet posts (remember, there was some talk of her for either State or Defense) and would be presumptive nominee in 2016. There may have also been a codicil that the Justice department would stay hands off of the Clinton Foundations during Obama's terms. To enforce this pact, Debbie Wasserman-Shultz was installed as party chair, giving her control of party finances, and ensuring that anyone challenging either Clinton or Obama would get frozen out of any national party money. Biden had to know that if he ran in the primaries, he would get no Obama endorsement or DNC money.

I find the timing interesting. To me it seems either the book deal was very compelling financially or Brazille was concerned this information was going to get out, making her look bad if she can't control the narrative.
Though I am completely shocked to find the Clintons were involved in a money/power deal that was borderline illegal (possible campaign finance limit violations) and completely unethical.

This is between the Democratic Party and Americans in the habit of voting Democrat. Let them work it out.
Debbie Wasserman-Schulz is probably the most vile, dick-withering female on the planet. She makes Hillary Clinton look like Jackie Kennedy:

I haven't noticed it lately. BUt after the Trump win ( and before ? ) , there was a lot of talk by academics about societal changes and how they may lead to the death and rebirth of the political parties. We may be seeing part of that playing out here.

The dossier cost $168K. The campaign paid a total of $5.6 million to Perkins Coie for all legal services, and Perkins Coie paid $1.02 million to Fusion GPS for all its services.

With Hilary controlling the DNC, it kind of makes the primaries a joke, eh? And they were. That is perhaps why they were so apoplectic over Bernie.

Sorry for you. You just found out that 100% of democrats are utter scumbags who live high on the hog and leave the voters to pay.
Donna is dead to Hilary which has consequences she won't survive but why do you vote for democrats?
November 4, 2017, 11:46 pmkidmugsy:
Ms Brazile may have decided it was too dangerous to know this stuff when the public didn't. Maybe she thought she'd be safer if shooting her would be too late to be any use. It's probably now too late to consider even a punishment shooting though I dare say she'll shortly be accused of some crime or other.
Anyway, the public would not know any of this unless just enough voters had had the gumption to hold their noses and vote for Trump. Well done them.

I understand that planning is underway for memorial services to follow Donna's pending suicide.
