Potential Phoenix Climate Presentation

I am considering making a climate presentation in Phoenix based on my book, videos, and blogging on how catastrophic anthropogenic global warming theory tends to grossly overestimate man's negative impact on climate.

I need an honest answer - is there any interest out there in the Phoenix area in that you might attend such a presentation in North Phoenix followed by a Q&A?  Email me or leave notes in the comments.  If you are associated with a group that might like to attend such a presentation, please email me.

    Schedule permitting, I'm in.

  2. Anonymous Mike:

    I would attend

  3. Not Mine Either:

I would be interested in attending, but I don't live in Phoenix and you'd be preaching to the choir. Sounds good though - the trend needs to be bucked now and then. Watch out for tomatoes from the audience; you'd be stomping on people's religion.

On another note, have you read "The Little Ice Age" by Brian Fagan?
An interesting read of the effects of weather (ie; climate change) on humankind from about 1300 to 1850.

    Mark Twain (I think)
"Climate is what you expect, weather is what you get"

I would absolutely attended if I were not 10,000 kms away. But I am.

Yes. I'd bring my middle-school-aged daughters. You might want to contemplate seeing if a science-oriented school like BASIS would host you. They often bring in external speakers as part of a parent series. You might have some scientifically oriented people in the audience who would start as skeptics, but come to appreciate the rigor of your analysis.

Hey, Warren, definitely, fantastic idea. I’ll bring beers.

Any chance you could schedule it Nov. 11 at Chase Field?

I can make some inquiries for some groups. Do you have an estimate of the date?

    W,
I'd like to attend, but San Diego is a bit too far. Earlier commenters may hitthe nail on the head when they point outthat you may just be carrying water to the ocean, i.e. presenting to folks who already agree. I don't recomend this lightly, but perhaps to have more impact you could consider a debate format w/ someone from the other camp?
    Best,
    Mike

Schedule it around a home ASU football game and there is a greater probability of me attending. :) Of course, if you schedule it after the football game, I will not be in any condition to participate constructively.

If you scheduled it I would inform friends of mine in the area, particularly some that have not drawn any conclusions on the issue, but are curious.

I think that's an excellent idea. I'd come over from SoCal.

I would attend that presentation if you were to hold it in Boston!
Do a lecture tour Warren- it would be great for the cause.

Ironically, if you were an AGW alarmist, I could easily get you a sponsor. That's where the money is.

I would attend depending on the date. I live near 32nd St and Shea.

With enough advance notice, I will attend.
