OK, I Have Devised A Brilliant New Trojan Horse Plan For Using Trump To Promote Freedom

Since Progressives refuse to accept and opposes anything Trump supports, let's get Trump to start professing interest in all sorts of bad socialist ideas.  Perhaps we can steer Progressives away from some of their own worst proposals.

Trump's proposal to nationalize the future 5G data network is a good start along these lines.  This article in and of itself is proof my strategy works.  I can guarantee that if Barack Obama has proposed a nationalized data network using social justice and inter-sectional language, the economically illiterate socialist millennials at Engadget would have been writing articles about what a fabulous idea it was, and not about how it would be impossible.

"....the economically illiterate socialist millennials at Engadget would have been writing articles about what a fabulous idea it was"

Yep. Which is why it's ludicrously easy for prank interviewers to get college students to agree or disagree with almost any idea by prefacing it with "President Trump has proposed..." or "Hillary Clinton has proposed...". To paraphrase Ben Rhodes, they're 24 and they literally know nothing. They're sure their blue tribe is always right even if they have little idea what it stands for and can't reliable distinguish blue tribe ideas from red ones when the labels are switched or removed.

This would imply they are following some sort of logic, which would continue to be employed after Trump is gone. Actually, Trump may rehabilitate socialist schemes, because he usually has some sort of objective measure for success, and isn't just in it to be 'in power.'

Yep, the same millennial beside themselves with anguish because the FCC got rid of regulations over the 4G network, are beside themselves that the government might want total control over the 5G network.

I'm wondering if the Trump administration is trolling them....

The real kicker is the presentation this comes from claims the government would deploy 5G faster than industry would!!!! Heh, yeah right.

Ahem. To add a bit of perspective, we're talking about the president who allegedly once urinated on a bed just because his predecessor had slept in it.

If there's one party or affiliated population guilty of riding the "everything president did is bad and must be undone just because it bears his name", that's the Republican crowd this last half year. Anyone remember "Let's get rid of Obamacare, I have my ACA"? (https://twitter.com/HelenKennedy/status/818522209283178498/photo/1)

Or, to pick the latest example - unemployment numbers are fake news to wow, look what he has done in the short time he's been president: https://www.reddit.com/r/PoliticalHumor/comments/7uabj4/unemployment_according_to_trump_supporters/

Ha! Ive sometimes thought a good way for Uber to get the liberal elite off its back is to find a way to pick a fight with Trump. As far as I can tell liberals have a well ordered hierarchy of shit. At the very top of that pyramid right now is Trump. Liberals will back absolutely anyone in conflict with him. Uber, WalMart and Monsanto sit below him. Climate change deniers below them. And so on.

The Engadget comment is interesting. I heard a story about them tonight, not sure if true. Engadget allegedly published the James Damore article but stripped all citations from it. Engadget then criticised the essay for, among other things, its poor sourcing.

" we're talking about the president who allegedly once urinated on a bed just because his predecessor had slept in it." Yes and he allegedly did this in a hotel he never stayed in.

There are lots of stories like this about Trump. As an example he is also accused of feeling up the leg of a woman on a flight to (from?) France, where Trump was not aboard. Trump must have incredible psychic and telekinetic powers to be able to do these things.

Actually that doesn't add any relevant perspective.

Dems actually refused to clap about the lowest black unemployment in 50 yrs (or whatever). Right there in public view they refused to applaud patriotism or the family.

Pranksters got 100% of young people to sign a petition for banning dihidrogen monoxide.

If the government was in charge of installing 5G, in 20 years we'd have a tin can and string network from DC to Alexandria, nothing else nationwide, and a whole pile of consultants and lawyers debating extending the network to Annapolis.

  12. John Moore:

Trump didn't propose that. It was in a leaked powerpoint presentation by some White House flunky.

  13. The_Big_W:

    Heh. Likely too true.
