    I solve this problem by not buying white cars.

    A clear coat would be a good idea for the solar arrays on Mars rovers. Also on other hard to reach dusty places like exchangers on heat pumps.

    It wears off after a year. It might be better to make it a topical wax or polish that can be applied every year.
