Congrats to Amherst Baseball

My son's team the Lord Jeffs (simultaneously the worst and most awesome team name in college sports) made the NCAA baseball playoffs this year.  Don't have a team to root for?  Why not choose the one named after an early advocate of biological warfare against Native Americans?

Congrats to your son! And congrats to you for paying for his Amherst education. He has to be one smart dude. I hope he has eked out a great education.

I have known a few graduates of Amherst, and one stands out as a beacon of liberty, among the smartest people I have ever known.

    You must be proud.

I remember when you set out a couple of years ago to help your son find a small college with a good baseball program. Looks like the Meyer family succeeded. At the same time, he landed at the college most often named at the top of the liberal college rankings. I know that Warren Meyer survived Princeton but I would have expected your son to end up at a school with somewhat of a libertarian bent (if there is such a place).

Big win over Rowan. I may be able to head to tonight's game versus Cortland. Remember the fight song, "To the Frenchmen and the Indians He Didn't Do a Thing ..." a little revisionism goes a long way
