Breakthrough
It appears that the unprecedented embargo on mocking the President is finally coming to an end after 10 long months. Comedians may finally have decided it is OK to make fun of this President like they have all the others. To this end, this is pretty funny from SNL.

Ironically, many of the vehicles purchased under the Cash for Clunkers program still had actual capital value, before the government intentionally destroyed them. China would probably be better off taking them (in pre-destroyed condition), than American fiat dollars, by the time we get around to paying them back.

LOL. Brilliant. I see the Obama Administration being ridiculed on a regular basis on the Daily Show, but I am guessing that while Bush tended to make people angry and outraged, Obama just inspires a feeling of sadness. Anyone thinking that's much of an improvement?

The SNL bit ridicules America's woeful situation, albeit as worsened (perhaps) by the current nexus of Congress and Administration, of which President Obama is the face. But even here Barrack Obama himself is not characterized as a sub-literate imbecile, as was invariably the case with his predecessor. He is instead allowed to cling to his dignity.

I really wish that instead of them putting the words "I Don't Know" into Barack's mouth they would have actually put his real words. Then had the Chinese have "Really? Because our economists, who have oversaw 10 to 20% growth per year for the last 10 to 15 years say that your plans will increase costs and not even significantly solve the problems you claim to be solving.
But, hey, it is their first crack at this, so, here is hoping for more of this.

I'm a fan of Stewart-Colbert but they have a blind spot over Obama. They may be starting to turn but they're still in DENIAL.

Geeze- ya think? ;-) Every time I turn either of those shows on, they seem to be ragging on Dick Cheney. Not that he's the greatest guy that ever lived or anything, but I don't believe he's been calling the shots in the White House for a while now, has he?

Very true, and a very pertinent observation. SNL have a long way to go yet, but I think they’ll get plenty of practice over the next three years.

Obama's main skill is hiding behind his teleprompter to mask his true IQ. Once it (the teleprompter) breaks, we all get to see that Obama, too, is a sub-literate imbecile. Perhaps a dignified imbecile, but an imbecile nonetheless. The SNL Obama hit the real Obama square on the head.
