Loser of the Week

Via Carlos Miller:

The suburban Chicago cop who was caught on video beating a 15-year-old student for refusing to tuck his shirt last May is being accused of raping a woman while holding a pillow over her face.He also killed his ex-wife's new husband last year by shooting him 24 times in front of their children while he was a cop for another suburban police department.

What does it take to actually bring a police officer to justice?  He shoots his ex-wife's new husband 24 times and no one presses charges just because he is a police officer?  I can't find any details on the weapon he was using but I can't believe that any weapon he was issued by his force had a magazine with a 24 shot capacity.   So the guy probably stopped and reloaded and then pumped some more bullets in the guy's corpse.

It would be interesting to know if he reloaded, brought 2 hand guns or a 30 round AR-15. He's a cop so a 30 round AR-15 is not out of question. The shooting was ruled self defense so it could be that he used a police owned AR-15 and the prosecutor's office is helping to cover up that they have these weapons.

hey, whad'ja expect? the cop no doubt felt threatened because the (soon-to-be-murdered) guy "made a furtive move towards his waistband". (that's the excuse they teach to rookies here in vegas should they ever have to testilie at a coroner's inquest. has a perfect success rate so far.) my guess would be 2 handguns. killing a guy in front of his kids with 24 shots from an AR-15 would be *overkill*, and that's just plain **wrong**.

I have a 30 round AR-15 as a civilian here in MN - you don't have to be a law enforcement officer in most states to have them.

Looks like a real slime ball:

"Christopher Lloyd, 38, was identified Thursday by his father Charles Lloyd and Dolton Mayor Ronnie Lewis as the officer who in May was recorded by a school security camera scuffling with 15-year-old, 140-pound Marshawn Pitts at the Academy for Learning in Dolton..."

"Christopher Lloyd was arrested last month and charged with sexually assaulting a woman he knew at her home in Hammond, his father said.

According to Lake County, Ind., court documents, he held a pillow over the woman's face while sexually assaulting her Sept. 14 and had previously threatened her with a knife."

    Micheal,

Most likely he reloaded. Why carry two handguns, when you can bring one and a couple of extra mags? Plus, a handgun is a lot easier to conceal then an Ar-15.

What does it take to bring a police officer like this to justice? Simple. You shoot him. That is Texas justice.

    LJB,

The guy got fired for the shooting but the DA went for self defense. Even if you put 17 rounds in to a person and miss every vital organ, there is going to be enough damage that the victim is going to be on the ground. To then stop and reload to put another 7 rounds in the victim would be a hard sell for self defense.

On the other hand, using 2 handguns or a 30 round compact model AR-15, the guy could claim he fired in self defense until the threat was neutralized.

Of course the DA could be just a corrupt as the cop.
