Kindle Recommendation

In the spirit of 99-cent books on Kindle, I found an author on Kindle named John Locke, who has written about 6 books about his assassin-protagonist Donovan Creed (he also wrote a western, of all things, which was also very good).  He seems to be a Kindle-only sensation.  I have not seen him other places but a while back he had all his books in the top 100 at the same time.

The books are short and an easy read.  This is not Hemingway, these are classic summer beach books, but I found him pretty enjoyable.

I've got all of them in the queue right now, after reading a sample of the first one.

    At $0.99 each, why not.

I have a recommendation for you about a local (Tempe) author, Kevin Hearne. Unfortunately not $0.99, but very good urban fantasy.

+1 to the Donovan Creed series. I've read them all and they are a good value, especially when you have a lot of established thriller authors setting their Kindle prices at 9.99 or higher.

I will never, ever own a Kindle. If someone gave one to me I'd sell it on E-bay.

Sometimes, you get what you pay for. I just read a newly published Kindle book called My Mother Killed Christ: But God Loves Me Anyways. It lived up to the title and was definitely worth the additional 9 bucks. It's received 5 star reviews on Amazon.

No posts since the rapture? Whodathunkit, Warren went to the model railroad playground in the sky.

The Locke stories read like a TV script. What do you expect for $.99?
