Via Scouting NY, restored 19th century domed West Baden Springs Hotel. In southern Indiana. I am amazed I never heard of it, because I used to run campgrounds almost next door to it.

DMac:
A nice restoration. There are two good golf courses nearby, one by Donald Ross, another by Pete Dye.

Amazing.
It's amazing what was accomplished in the 19th and early 20th centuries in this country.
Laissons faire!

You may also find the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, of some interest...
While you are there, I would suspect a nice fall concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre would be of great interest. Red Rocks is where the classic U2: Under a Blood Red Sky concert video (1983) was shot. Whatever your musical tastes, there's probably some shows there that would be quite enjoyable.
I've never been there for a concert, but I've been at the amphitheatre itself, and can imagine what it's like on a crisp clear night with Denver in the background.
