More obscure but entertaining is the bug that ran from NT 4 through XP. Grab a really big bunch of small files. (I don't know the exact breaking point but it's somewhere over 1GB/1 thousand files.) A big enough pile for a copy operation lasting over an hour. The estimator will eventually break and suggest the remaining time to completion is a massive number of minutes that works out to four years if you do the division.
