Today's Correlatoin Not Equal Causation Moment
I was very amused by Brockovich's remark "It is no coincidence that
thousands on Avandia now have heart attacks." Really? Thousands of
people who saw Erin Brockovich in the theaters have had heart
attacks, and many others have had strokes. Some even contracted cancer!
Coincidence, or has Ms. Brockovich put movie royalties ahead of safety?

Shes right, it isn't a coincidence. Diabetes is a cardiovascular equivalent to a Prior MI. When my patients tell me they are diabetics I hear "I have coronary artery disease". Its not a coincidence, Its also not surprising nor worthy of litigation.
I did suffer from nausea after the film, does that count.
