Congrats to Milton Bradley...

...for getting the dumbest sports injury of all time, tearing his ACL when his manager was restraining him from attacking the first base umpire.  Video here, if you missed it.  We Diamondback fans are becoming big supporters of your, Milton.

Upon seeing Bradley's behavior, I am starting to rethink my opinion of Falcons player Deangelo Hall as the biggest sports hazard to self and team. If you missed the Falcons v. Panthers game, you did not see how D. Hall got 67 yards in penalties because he had "poor impulse control" in p.c. terms. At least he kept all body parts intact. Buncha big babies...

Even if I wasn't a Padres fan who lived 10 minutes (walking) from Petco Park I'd be having a serious WTF moment... but since I am... I don't get too worked up over these things but lets just say I rolled my eyes so hard I almost sprained them. I guess we'll just have to look at it as an exciting new frontier in stupidity.

I tell you what, at least in this specific incident Milton Bradley is not the instigator. One of the fact of sports is that some of the officials, umpires in baseball, think they are above everything.

If you watch the clip, Bradley is leading off first base. He is not saying anything. It is the umpire that is doing all of the talking.

Further, look at the reaction of the first base coach. It is obvious from his reaction that the umpire has been jawing at the player, probably in an uncalled for manner.

Just in - the umpire was suspended for the rest of the season for instigating the confrontation. That being said, Bradley should have kept his cool.
