I Couldn't Have Said it Better
It is official. The GOP is now exactly in the same position Democrats
were in circa 1993 -- the disconnected, unapologetic party of bloated
federal government. Only demographic trends and the Democrats'
steadfast refusal to evince a lick of sense will keep 2006 from being
1994 in reverse.

As bad as most Republicans have gotten, I remain utterly unconvinced that Democrats wouldn't be far, far worse.
These are probably some hard times for folks who actually support Republicans. Not so much for me...every election is simply a question of which party I _don't_ support is going to dominate, and among the two with an actual chance, the Republicans remain the lesser of evils.
